NSU receives government funding to assist minorities
On Sept. 27, NSU received a $2.87 million grant to expand opportunities for minority students. The university will use the money primarily to improve the success of Hispanic students at the Oceanographic Center.
Public schools get help with education
Florida’s public schools received $554 million to help the schools’ budgets and secure jobs in the education field. The grant was part of a state aid bill that President Barack Obama signed last month.
