Women’s soccer season ends with semi-final loss

The women’s soccer team ended its season on Nov. 5 with a 2-0 loss to the University of Tampa in the semi-finals of the Sunshine State Conference tournament.

The team also lost seven senior players. Head Coach Michael Goodrich said these players served the team well, including mid-fielder Alexis Hernandez, who Goodwich said possibly provided the best leadership the team ever experienced.

Other seniors graduating are: goal keeper, Sarah Glass; defender, Fiorella Booth; forward, Susie Lee; forward, Kesiah Wattley; and defender, Lauren Saigh.

The team moves into next season with a more than a dozen underclassmen.
