The 12th annual Student Life Achievement Awards, or STUEYs, were held on April 12 in the Rose and Alfred Miniaci Performing Arts Center.
Winners were selected by the Selection Committee, including Ray Ferrero Jr., J.D., NSU chancellor, George L. Hanbury II, Ph.D., NSU president, Frank DePiano, Ph.D., executive vice president and provost of academic services, several members of the board of trustees and past STUEY winners.
The STUEYs were established by Brad Williams, Ed.D., dean of Student Affairs to recognize leadership, commitment, involve-ment and scholarship in the NSU community.
There were 14 categories this year. These are the winners.

Corporate Partner of the Year: American Express
Executive of the Year: Carsten Evans, Ph.D. (Pharmacy)
Staff Person of the Year: Denise Fournier (SHSS)
Graduate Organization of the Year: National Optometric Student Association (Optometry)
Undergraduate Organization of the Year: Community Action Using Student Empowerment
Student Government of the Year: Center for Psychological Studies Student Government Association
Professor of the Year: David Boesler, D.O. (Osteopathic Medicine)
Male Athlete of the Year: Alex Gynes (Basketball)
Female Athlete of the Year: Abbie Tepe (Basketball)
SEC Student of the Year: Jacqueline Lacal (Palm Beach)
Student of the Year: Anthony Campenni
