NSU and the Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority (LTA) will host the “Out of the Darkness Suicide Prevention Community Walk” Nov. 18 at 9 a.m, to benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP).
America re-elects Obama
Obama had a second victory on election night. He beat pop star Justin Bieber’s Twitter record for the most re-tweeted message of all time. The tweet — which read, “This happened because of you. Thank you.” — included a picture of Obama and the first lady hugging, and was retweeted 298,318 times in 30 minutes.
NSU honors and remembers veterans

Athlete of the week: Meixandra Porter
NSU senior Meixandra Porter began playing the game of basketball at a very young age. She began to play when she was 5 years old with her twin brother and began to play competitively when she was only 6 years old.
