Hate! An American Love Story
Christina Alexander’s one-woman show, “Hate! An American Love Story”, is having its world premiere in the month of cupids, chocolates and couples. However, her self-written, self-produced and self-acted production transcends the sugar-coated version of affection. “Hate!” is an edgy show that inspires audiences to question the way America looks at different forms of love.
Athlete of the week: Sean Mullan
Sean Mullan, senior management major, is in his last season of playing forward and guard for the Sharks basketball team. He began playing when he was 11 years old, after his parents encouraged him to always try something new. Since he was already playing other sports, basketball seemed like the way to go.
NSU’s 10th annual CommunityFest approaches
NSU’s 10th annual CommunityFest, a carnival-like festival aimed at linking NSU students with community members and raising school spirit, will take place on Feb. 9 from noon to 4 p.m. at Gold Circle Lake on NSU’s main campus.

Oral Cancer Awareness 5k Run/Walk-a-thon
NSU’s Alpha Omega International Dental Fraternity will host an Oral Cancer Awareness 5k Run/Walk-a-thon at Central Broward Regional Park in Lauderhill on Feb. 23 at 7:30 a.m. About 500 participants are expected and proceeds will benefit The Truth Outreach Project, a non-profit oral cancer awareness organization.
New organization proposes NSU Veteran Center
NSU’s newest organization Nova Student Veterans Association (NSVA), has crafted a proposal to create a veteran resource center on main campus, sponsored by the group’s Founder and President Kelsey DeSantis.
