2020 Legacy Scholars Program
The 2020 Legacy Scholars Program, which encourages students to donate to student organizations, will continue Feb. 25 to March 31. For every dollar that an organization raises at or above $250, the university will match the amount, up to a maximum of $2,500.  A scholarship will then be awarded to one member of each participating group, as selected by an independent scholarship selection committee. Walk to Cure ALS
On March 2, the ALS Association Florida Chapter will hold the South Florida “Walk to Defeat ALS” at Topeekeegee Yugnee Park in Hollywood. Registration will open at 8:30 a.m. and the walk will begin at 10 a.m. The ALS Association is a nationwide network of local chapters that invest in research toward a cure for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis —also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease. Proceeds raised will support patient care and comfort, as well as research. Interested participants can call 888-257-1717, ext. 126, or register online at WalktoDefeatALS.org.

NSU Tampa to host Open House
NSU will host an Open House on Feb. 28 at 6 p.m. at its Tampa Student Educational Center. The Open House, which is free and open to the public, will provide information about the various health, education, business and psychology programs NSU Tampa offers. Admissions counselors will be on hand to answer questions regarding scholarships, grants, financial aid, admission requirements and deadlines. Diversity Dialogues series presents talk on sexism
Debra Nixon, assistant professor of marriage and family therapy at the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences, will facilitate the next Diversity Dialogue, “Sexism and the Well Meaning Man”, on March 5 from noon to 1 p.m. The series, which takes place on the first Tuesday of every month in the President’s Dining Room in the The William and Norma Horvitz Administration Building, invites NSU students, faculty and staff to bring their lunch and enjoy a facilitated discussion.
