Recipe of the week: Classically delicious taco dip

Ah, the classic taco dip. Everyone seems to have a unique variation on the legendary layered goodness of this colorful appetizer.

Taco dip is a layered dip, usually served with tortilla chips or vegetables. Recipes have no restrictive rules; if you can put it in a taco, you can put in a dip. It’s quick and easy to make, perfect for a get-together with friends.

Here is a basic taco dip recipe and optional homemade taco seasoning. Use additional layers or ingredients –— such as lettuce, refried beans, green onions or salsa — to please your personal culinary palette.
