Henderson Student Counseling Services is NSU’s primary mental health provider for students and the campus community. Licensed counselors and a licensed psychologist provide individual, family, group and couples counseling in an office setting, and telephonic triage sessions are also available. All part-time and full-time students are eligible for 10 counseling sessions per year at no cost.
Students are charged a nominal fee for seeing Henderson’s licensed psychiatrist, but many insurance companies will cover this cost. An on-call counselor, the student counseling services medical director and the administrator are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
