On the Run Tour

Despite being under public scrutiny for the infamous fight between Jay Z and his sister-in-law Solange Knowles, the power couple Beyoncé and Jay Z are making an avid attempt to put the negative rumors behind them and focus on their “On the Run” summer tour.

After giving birth to their daughter Blue Ivy in 2012, Jay Z and Beyoncé have finally come out of the dark and walked straight into the spotlight with chart topping album sales and sold out concerts.

Last year, Jay Z released his 12th album “Magna Carta Holy Grail,” which went platinum the day of its release. Following his release, he toured select cities promoting the album. And, after almost a full year of seclusion, Beyoncé finally made an appearance, performing at the 2013 Super Bowl halftime show. After, she announced the dates of her anticipated Mrs. Carter World Tour.

With remarkable choreography, flawless vocals and countless sold-out shows, Beyoncé’s regal-themed concert was a success in many countries. Singing songs from her previous albums, including fan favorites such as “Single Ladies,” “Irreplaceable” and “Diva,” this diva shocked fans at the concert with surprise appearances from her husband for collaborative songs like “Crazy in Love,” “Tom Ford” and her newly released single “Drunk in Love,” which is featured on her most recent self-titled album.

This summer, fans are elated to have the opportunity to see the power couple together in concert for the very first time. With the completion of both the Mrs. Carter and the Magna Carta tour, the couple is dedicating the summer to touring across North America. To help promote the already anticipated tour, the Carters released an official “On the Run” trailer, starring many celebrities, including Don Cheadle, Blake Lively, Jake Gyllenhaal and many more. The trailer features scenes of the dynamic duo living an outlawed life rampant with robbing banks, western-like shootouts and wild police rundowns. Though this visually enticing trailer isn’t an actual movie, fans can get an idea of what can be expected at their On the Run tour which premiered June 25 in Miami.

Beyoncé and Jay Z always deliver when it comes to entertaining fans. With Jay Z’s prestige in platinum album sales and Beyoncé’s raw talent selling out more than 130 shows in multiple countries, it’s easy to expect a remarkably entertaining and successful summer tour. This power couple’s hard work and success will continue to keep them in the public eye — regardless of elevator fights.
