Sustainability Tip of the Week: Nobody likes ironing, not even the earth

When you do laundry, do you leave your clothes in the dryer for hours and then eventually take out clothes that look like crumpled newspaper? Dryers have timers so that you know to take out your clothes as soon as the cycle finishes. When taking the clothes out, lay them flat on top of each other or hang them immediately. You’ll notice that your clothes won’t look like crumpled mess, and most, if not all of them, won’t need to be ironed. Cutting out ironing from your laundry routine not only saves you a lot of time, effort and work, but also saves the electricity and water you would normally use to iron your clothes. If your dryer doesn’t have a timer, or you find the timer annoying, you can set a timer on your smartphone.
