I’ve been dying to go to Segovia for years and I finally had the opportunity to go. It is so breathtaking that no pictures can do it justice. It’s truly a must-see. The best part? It’s such an underrated hidden gem that there were barely any tourists or crowds. The town was filled with mostly locals and their dogs.
If you’re ever in Madrid, take a day trip to Segovia. It’s only a either 1-hour drive through peaceful Spanish countryside or a crazy inexpensive 90-minute train ride away. It’s worth the inconvenience and the commute. Instead of explaining why through words, here are a few pictures that argue my case for me.
Roman aqueducts…
…a whimsical little town with serious fairytale vibes…
…and the Alcazar of Segovia, an incredible medieval castle full of Spanish history.
