Student Success Fair aims to teach students tips for success
The Office of Undergraduate Student Success will host its annual Student Success Fair on Sept. 16, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Carl DeSantis Building atrium. The fair aims to connect undergraduate students to the staff of 18 NSU offices, including Career Development, Henderson Student Counseling, the Office of Student Leadership and Civic Engagement, the Office of International Affairs and the Tutoring and Testing Center. SEA Board to host Hispanic Heritage event

Sharks on the Scene is back
Sharks on the Scene is a program offering students exclusive discounted tickets to some of the largest events in South Florida. Tickets for Disney On Ice on Sept. 18 at the BB&T Center are on sale for $20. Sept. 20 is the Luke Bryan: Kick the Dust Up Tour at the Perfect Vodka Amphitheatre; tickets are on sale for $18. Tickets are available to students only; students must present their NSU SharkCard to purchase tickets in the Office of Student Activities, located in the Don Taft University Center. Coastal Cleanup 2015
The Oceanographic Center will host its third annual Coastal Cleanup at John U. Loyde State Park from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Participants receive free park admission for the day, a T-shirt and community service hours if requested. To RSVP or for more information, email coastalcleanup@broward.org.
One of NSU’s colleges ranked among top 50 in the nation
The online Master’s in Public Health Program at NSU’s College of Osteopathic Medicine was ranked among the 50 Most Affordable Online MPH Programs in 2015 by the Top Master’s in Healthcare Administration website. NSU to host kickoff for National Give Kids A Smile Day program
The American Dental Association (ADA) Foundation announced that NSU will serve as the kickoff location for the national 2016 Give Kids A Smile (GKAS) program in February. More than 1,500 GKAS events are held throughout the year around the country, providing dental services to about 350,000 underserved children. Huizenga to debut its new program
NSU’s H. Wayne Huizenga College of Business and Entrepreneurship has announced its newest program, The Real World M.B.A, debuting this semester. The program will teach practical knowledge and skills that graduates can use to improve their career and promotional opportunities. Trash and animal concern
The Office of Residential Life and Housing released a notice to remind residents in Founders, Farquhar, Vettel and the Cultural Living Center not to place any trash bags on the first floor of the buildings. The trash is attracting many stray animals near the entrance of the residence halls. If the trash room is closed on the first floor, students should go to the second floor and put the trash in the shoot. Also, residents are reminded not to feed the animals.
