Soundbite: “You Know Who You Are” by Nada Surf

Good college rock is synonymous with Nada Surf ― there’s no argument about it. “You Know Who You Are” marks Nada Surf’s eighth full-album release, featuring 10 brand new tracks to help you get an early start to you summer fun. This band has been around since the early ‘90s, creating songs that are miniature time machines. Their OMD cover of “If You Leave” will transport you to the episode of the cult favorite show “The OC,” in which the much-adored Seth Cohen chases Anna down at the airport before she leaves for Pittsburg. Then there’s the classic hit “Inside of Love” that takes you back to good ‘ol Lucas Scott from “One Tree Hill” confessing his feelings to Peyton Sawyer. Nada Surf’s music has created these special moments in TV history, and “You Know Who You Are” falls nothing short of that. It’s fresh and new but with the style we all know and love. These New Yorker darlings have that alternative, California cool sound, and with Matthew Caws’ voice that’s like no other, it’s no wonder this quartet has found so much success within the alternative community. They’re currently on tour in Europe, but, beginning in May, they’ll be hitting up the states ― so if you’re thinking of doing a road trip, you should definitely consider a Nada Surf concert as a destination this summer.

“You Know Who You Are” is available on Spotify and Apple Music.
