President Obama reveals plan to welcome more immigrants
On Sep. 14, President Obama announced that he plans on welcoming 110,000 refugees into the U.S. in October. According to the Washington Post, the increase is substantial since the number of refugees admitted in 2016 was 85,000, and in the three years prior, it was 70,000.
Russia worries U.S. officials
The head of the NSA told the U.S. government that he is worried a country may be trying to tamper with the November U.S. election. The FBI is investigating the situation in detail. States like Arizona and Illinois have had their voter registration files virtually attacked, but it is unclear as to where exactly these attacks are coming from. According to NBC, an estimated 200,000 voter records could have been breached in Illinois. Russia also recently released medical records for two American Olympic athletes that show the use of illegal drugs prescribed by the athletes’ doctors.

After Hillary Clinton’s noticeable cough was broadcasted to the world, voters are concerned regarding her clean bill of health. A video of Clinton leaving the fifteen-year memorial of the attack on 9/11 early, and then fainting, was posted online shortly after. The video caused a huge commotion in the political world, resulting in Trump and Hillary both releasing physicals from their physicians. According to NBC, Clinton’s physician gave a detailed report on Clinton’s health. ABC News posted an article that detailed Trump’s physician’s note which ultimately deemed him to be in excellent health.
Syrian war halted
With the crisis in Syria growing each day, the U.S. and Russia have agreed to a ceasefire, according to CNN. The U.S. has given the Syrian Rebels one week to dismember their commitments to ISIS and Al Queda, after which the U.S. and Russia will plan attacks on radical terrorist groups.
