Presidential election watch party
On Nov. 8, the Office of Student Leadership and Civic Engagement will host a Presidential Election Night Watch Party in the NSU Flight Deck Pub at 8 p.m. At the party, students can watch election results and enjoy pizza. NSU presents Laugh Your Fins Off: Homecoming Comedy Show
Students can enjoy some of South Florida’s funniest comedians on Nov. 11. Starting at 10 p.m., the show will feature comedians like Justin Elliot and David Rosario. It will take place in the Performing and Visual Arts Theater and is free for NSU students, faculty, staff and alumni with a SharkCard. Non-NSU guests must pay an entrance fee of $20. Homecoming bash
On Nov. 10, NSU will host the Homecoming Bash from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. at Passion Nightclub. Students can purchase tickets for themselves and guests at the Office of Campus Life and Student Engagement for $10 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Only cash will be accepted. Ticket prices will rise to $15 the night of the event.
NSU Veterans Resource Center hosts veteran’s day celebration
A special ceremony will be held in the Flight Deck Pub on Nov. 11 from 2-3:30 p.m. to honor veterans. The Broward Sheriff’s Office Color Guard, representatives from the Veteran’s Trust, the Department of Defense, and NSU President George Hanbury will be in attendance, as well as several military veterans. Nominations open for the 19th Annual Student Life Achievement Awards
NSU students, faculty and staff can now nominate candidates for the 19th Annual Student Life Achievement Awards, known as the Stueys.
