Men’s Golf

NSU’s Men’s Golf finished fifth in a stacked 15-team field on Sep. 19 at the Griffin International which was hosted by St. Leo University. Junior Finlay Mason was one of the few golfers to score an eagle, while sophomore Benjamin Hjort tied for the 12th position with a combined (-4) 212 score.

Women’s Soccer

In a match against Embry-Riddle on Sep. 20, the women’s soccer team secured their fifth uncontested win of the season with a final 3-2 score. The team attributes their win to the three goals scored by freshman Laura Pederson, and sophomores Alexys Nowak and Myriah Troutman. Senior and goalkeeper Jordan Lentz corralled three saves in the game which boosted her career win total to 13.  

Men’s Soccer

The Sharks of the men’s soccer team lost their match against Johnson & Wales in their Sep. 18 home opener. The 2-0 loss resulted from the team’s first surrendered penalty kick of the season despite the team’s commendable goal attempts by sophomore Ignacio Goya, junior Arns Carrenard, senior Juanes Devia and graduate student Bestun Mohammed.
