On Wed. Nov. 8, NSU held the annual Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. This year they honored Shurell Burton, Mike Fiers and Dr. Romain Onteniente for outstanding achievement in respective women’s soccer, baseball, and men’s soccer programs while a student here at NSU.
Dr. Romain Onteniente graduated from NSU with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry and Psychology. He continued his education after NSU and earned a Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine from Barry University.
Shurell Burton graduated from NSU with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Counseling. She continued her education at NSU and earned a Master’s degree in Athletic Administration.
Mike Fiers only spent a year at NSU but set many records while he was here, including setting a NSU single-season strikeout record.
