NSU’s Homecoming 2018 kicked off Nov. 5 with a week long celebration. Throughout homecoming week, students were challenged to show how they bleed blue with NSU pride. On Friday Nov. 9, students were encouraged to wear NSU gear as a sign of their school pride. Decked out in NSU gear ahead of the homecoming basketball game, students proved that they in fact do bleed blue. Homecoming shirts were spotted across campus, and some students added their own creative touch to the spirit day. Homecoming aimed to bring the entire NSU community together through their mutual love and support for their university and home.

Homecoming was a family affair for Dwayne Gibson, senior biology major. Gibson, NSU basketball player, brought his nephew to campus ahead of the big homecoming basketball game.
Samantha Larkin, freshman pre-nursing major, walked through the Don Taft University Center repping her school spirit.
Friends Neethu Mathew, sophomore biology major, Annette Mathew sophomore biology, and Pooja Varma, sophomore biology major, were excited for their second NSU homecoming.

Undergraduates were not the only students to participate in homecoming festivities. Raven Smith, graduate student pursuing a master’s in college student affairs, was decked out in NSU gear.
Swinton Acosta, freshman business management major, was decked out in NSU gear. Acosta graduated from Nova Southeastern University school.
