NSU’s Sharks Abroad Week

NSU’s 2019 Sharks Abroad week will be held Feb. 4-8. NSU students have a variety of opportunities to study or travel abroad. The Sharks Abroad Week will provide many chances for students to come and learn more about going abroad, all in DeSantis 1052. Among the presentations will be studying abroad in stem fields, studying on a budget, international internships and much more. Accent Modification Group open to NSU Students

The Accent Modification Group is hosting free meetings to help improve pronunciation and communication due to foreign or regional accents for students. The meetings take place at NSU’s Speech-Language Pathology Clinic on 6100 Griffin Road, Davie, FL, Thursdays from 4-5 p.m.. Recruit a Shark Day Winter 2019

NSU will host the Winter 2019 Recruit a Shark Day on Thursday, March 14, 3:30 – 6 p.m. in the Rick Case Arena in the Don Taft University Center. Employers from several fields will be tabling with opportunities for jobs, internships, research positions and volunteering and service opportunities. Take a Trip to Hogwarts at the Alvin Sherman Library

On Thursday, Feb. 7, members of the NSU community and public are invited to visit the Alvin Sherman Library for a Harry Potter book night. Attendees can attend  a fun family event that includes games, activities, storytelling and crafting of their own light-up wand. Costumes are encouraged. Build your own business brand

On Thursday, Feb. 7, the office of Career Development will be hosting a build your own business brand. Students who need help building their own personal brand can get help from Career Development advisors in the Carl DeSantis building room 2081 from 5-6 p.m. Students who are interested in this event should register on Handshake.
