Glossier, a skincare and beauty product store mainly focused on enhancing natural beauty, opened a pop-up shop in Miami on March 27, and fans have been going crazy about its opening.
Sophomore Rosie Hanna said, “I saw it on Instagram and I was in the room with my friend Victoria, and from the moment I saw the post, we went down south.”
Glossier has U.S. stores in Los Angeles and New York City. Retail locations are exclusive, and they make sure customers don’t forget with euphoric decor. The Miami store was fashioned to reflect the city’s Art Deco architecture by a Toronto-based artist and mental health advocate. Its design consists of tropical fruit murals and other intricate decor of the store. From its 1940s decor and pastel pink color palette to the tropical plants and fruits arrangements, every corner of the store is set up for an Instagram-worthy photo op.
Consumers have the opportunity to test any product before purchasing. The products are laid out in two different rooms based on their line and type, with makeup testing tools on the center of the tables. Leading to the bathroom is a passageway decorated to represent their new mango-scented Balm Dotcom lip balm: the corridor had sounds of the tropical rainforest with mangos and vines hanging on the walls and ceiling.
Fans are also crazed about the store opening since its newly-launched Glossier Play product line will be available at this store. The Glossier Play line gives its makeup artists who want to glam up an opportunity to “play” with their looks with its vivid colors and glittery makeup, rather than using their natural makeup products. There is also an exclusive keychain tailored towards the Miami store, also designed to replicate the Miami Art Deco theme of the store. With every purchase of a keychain, Glossier will donate $5 towards the Lambda Legal organization, which helps support the legal rights of LGBTQ people and people who have HIV. Products range from $10 for smaller products to $60 for makeup up sets and fragrance. The store will be open up until April 28 at 222 NW 26t Street (between 2nd and 3rd Ave) Miami, FL 33127. Store hours are Sunday to Thursday from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. and Friday to Saturday 11 a.m. – 9 p.m.
