Take part in Teal Tuesdays

Every Tuesday in April, Sexual Assault Awareness month, the NSU community is encouraged to wear teal in solidarity with survivors of sexual violence. Representatives from several campus organizations will be tabling in the UC on April 9, 16 and 23 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. handing out ribbons.

Pre-health personal statement workshop

If you’re applying to pre-health programs over the summer, this workshop was designed with you in mind. On April 11, NSU will host a pre-health personal statement workshop from 12 – 1 p.m., in the Carl DeSantis Building, Room 2072. The workshop is designed for all pre-health areas. Interested students can RSVP on Handshake.

Fashion show for a cause

The National Pediatric Cancer Foundation in collaboration with NSU’s Office of Advancement will host a fashion show benefiting children with cancer on April 13 at 6:30 p.m. in the Rick Case Arena at the Don Taft University Center. Student tickets will be offered at a discounted rate of $10. All proceeds will benefit NPCF. Visit nationalPCF.org/FashionFtLauderdale to purchase tickets.

Scholarship and award workshops

The Alvin Sherman Library will host a scholarship workshop using Foundation Center resources on April 16 from 4 – 5 p.m. Attendees will get the opportunity to learn about resources available for scholarship searches, tailoring your searches to fields of study and more.
