Pride month is when the world comes together and celebrates expressing themselves for who they truly are. This year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Pride plans have been either moved or transitioned to virtual events. Now, LGBTQ+ individuals and allies can join together and celebrate all over the world. Here are some Pride events you can attend from home from this month.
NYC Pride
NYC Pride will host their Pride march with an annual civil rights demonstration to recognize those who fought against AIDS in remembrance of those we have lost. This year’s virtual festival will commemorate the education of the LGBTQIA+ movement with special guest star performances and LGBTQIA+ icons like Janelle Monáe, Deborah Cox, Billy Porter, Luísa Sonza and more.

Global Pride
Global Pride is a celebration of equality for all. This year, organizers to center the event around the Black Lives Matter movement, amplifying black voices and acknowledging black rights. The LGBQIA+ community is all about accepting individuals for who they are and creating a community for all. The celebration will be hosted by Todrick Hall with guests former U.S. Vice President Joe Biden, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Icelandic President Guðni Jóhannesson and Irish Taoiseach Leo Varadkarrs
