Two years into this pandemic and people still do not get it. The mask goes over your nose. Yes, that’s it, over the nose. I do not care if you are over wearing one; I’m pretty sure we all are. Just because you do not like doing it does not mean that you just get to opt out of it. You can breathe in the mask, too — not sure why that is even something that needs to be said. If you can complain about not wanting to wear a mask while you are wearing a mask, then you can definitely breathe. Now is the time to stop dramatizing whatever form of oppression you think wearing a mask is and put one on so we can all be safe.
The COVID-19 pandemic has uncovered the widespread nature of misinformation in the United States. Why is science being politicalized? Why is requiring vaccines an issue? Other vaccines have been required for years, and it never seemed to be as much of a problem as it is now. This pandemic has already been messed up beyond measure to the point where if we want it to end, we will have to work together. That means wearing your mask, getting vaccinated and social distancing. People need to actually take this seriously if they want to get back to “normal.” If COVID-19 was taken care of when the pandemic started, we would probably be back to “normal” by now.
Do your part, wear your mask, and remember only you can prevent COVID-19.
