The Dimensions Dance Theatre coming to the Rose & Alfred Miniaci Performing Arts Center 

Dimensions Dance Theater of Miami,  a critically acclaimed ballet company, will perform Sept. 25 at 8 p.m. The performance will be held at the Rose & Alfred Miniaci Performing Arts Center at Nova Southeastern University. The performance is contemporary ballet, and their show is entitled “Flying Forward.” Tickets range from $20-$35. Sharks and staff are eligible to receive a discount for $10 off tickets by using the promo code “NSU” when purchasing. Tickets can be purchased at Dimensions Dance Theatre of Miami: Flying Forward | Rose and Alfred Miniaci Performing Arts Center (miniacipac.com). 

 

Candle Making Workshop 

NSUs campus life will host a candle making workshop. Students will have the opportunity to learn how to make their own candle on Sept. 18. All materials will be provided, but a heat source will be needed. Once space is confirmed attendance and participation are mandatory. The event will take place via zoom at noon. Due to limited availability students must RSVP at specialprojects@nova.edu. 

 

Dog toy palooza 

The Office of Student Leadership and Civic Engagements is hosting “Dog Toy Palooza” for a day of service on Sept. 18. Students will learn to make dog toys out of everyday household items. The toys will be donated to local foster pets in Broward County and all the proceeds will be donated to Good Karma Pet Rescue and the Humane Society of Broward County. This event is in person and will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the second floor of the Don Taft University Center. This event also satisfies the requirement of one of the RSO service and leadership requirements. For more information contact the office of student leadership and civic Engagement at slce@nova.edu. Innovative Leadership Experience 

NSU will host a workshop for registered student organizations to help them learn about leadership and how to improve their leadership style. The workshop will consist of games and activities and is recommended for anyone who is interested in becoming a better leader whether they hold a leadership position or not. This in-person event will be held Sept. 20 from 5 to 6 p.m. and will take place in the Rosenthal building in room 204.
