Ingram II traded to Saints

The Houston Texans traded running back Mark Ingram II to the New Orleans Saints for a late round pick. It’s a homecoming for Ingram as he spent the first eight years of his career with the Saints before departing in free agency in 2019. Through seven games in 2021, Ingram has rushed for 294 yards and a touchdown. The former Heisman winner has rushed for 7,618 yards in his career, with 6,007 coming as a member of the Saints. Ingram needs just 90 rushing yards to become the Saints all-time leader in rushing yards.

World Series begins

The 2021 World Series between the National League champion Atlanta Braves and the American League champion Houston Astros opened on Oct. 26. The Braves took down the reigning World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers in six games, winning the series four games to two, to make their first World Series since 1999. The Astros conquered the Boston Red Sox in six games to make their third World Series in five years. Houston has had their fair share of criticism due to their call-stealing scandal in 2017 when they won the World Series.

In Game One of the World Series, the Braves chopped down the Astros by a score of 6-2, with Jorge Soler’s leadoff home run setting the tone for the Braves. The Astros took Game Two by a score of 7-2, with Jose Altuve hitting a home run in the seventh inning to put the game away.

Brady throws 600th touchdown, fan becomes rich

On Sunday, Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady threw his 600th touchdown pass. The 600 passing touchdowns are the most in NFL history by far, as the next closest is 571 by Drew Brees, who is retired. The closest active player is Aaron Rodgers with 429 touchdowns through the air. The legendary quarterback continues to further every record in the book.

The pass was caught by Mike Evans, who then gave the ball to a fan due to not realizing the importance of the ball. The fan, Byron Kennedy, hesitantly gave the ball back to Brady, but not for cheap. He was given two signed jerseys and a helmet by Tom Brady, a signed Mike Evans jersey and his game-worn cleats, two season tickets for the rest of 2021 and all of 2022 and a $1,000 gift card to the Buccaneers team store. He wasn’t done there, as Brady himself selflessly gave Kennedy one Bitcoin, worth $62,264.
