Odell Beckham Jr. signs with Rams

After being officially released last Monday, star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. agreed to terms with the Los Angeles Rams. Beckham, 29, had 17 catches for 232 yards in six games prior to his release. A free agent for the first time in his career, Beckham took the time to weigh his options, coming to the decision that he wanted to be a member of the Rams. He now joins one of the most star-studded teams in the NFL, one that includes Matthew Stafford, Aaron Donald, Von Miller and Jalen Ramsey. Beckham hopes to ramp up his production as a member of one of the pass heaviest offenses in football. The former New York Giant and Cleveland Brown has 504 catches for 7,062 yards and 51 touchdowns in his career.

Panthers, Newton reunite

The Carolina Panthers have agreed to terms with their former franchise quarterback, free agent Cam Newton. Newton returns to Carolina where he spent the first 9 years of his career, winning an NFL MVP and making a Super Bowl appearance. Sam Darnold, the Panthers starting quarterback for the first nine weeks of their season, suffered a crack in his scapula in his throwing arm. The injury knocks him out for anywhere from four to six weeks. During Newton’s most recent stop with the New England Patriots in 2020, he had 2,657 passing yards and eight touchdowns with ten interceptions. He added 592 rushing yards and 12 rushing touchdowns. Newton’s return is a story to watch and should be an interesting homecoming for the former No.1 overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft.

Nikola Jokic’s hit warrants one game suspension, brotherly feud

During the Heat vs. Nuggets game last week, 2020 NBA Nikola Jokic was fouled by Miami’s Markeiff Morris. In retaliation for the foul, Jokic hit Morris with his shoulder with forceful contact to his back. Jokic was suspended for one game, and Morris hasn’t played since the hit.

The hit was not received well by Marcus Morris, a member of the Los Angeles Clippers and Morris’ twin brother, as he tweeted about the event afterwards. The feud between the players is still ongoing, and the Heat and Nuggets play again later this month on Nov. 27.
