The Tampa Bay regional campus opens Moss Family Café 

After a long partnership between Nova Southeastern University and Moss Construction, NSU has opened a new café at the Tampa Regional Campus dedicated to the company. The café is named The Moss Family Café in honor of the longstanding relationship between the school and construction company, and was unveiled in a dedication ceremony on Nov. 18. The café is open to all students, staff and faculty at the Tampa Regional Campus, as well as NSU students visiting from other campuses. 

Residential assistant applications go live 

Applications for students to become residential assistants for the 2022-2023 academic school year have officially gone live. Each residential assistant manages one side of each floor in each dorm, and are the point of contact for students living in that area who have any concerns about housing or living on campus. Students who are interested in this position must attend at least one RA information session, where they will learn more about the requirements for the job, as well as tips and tricks from current residential assistants. The next information session is being held on Dec. 1 at 7:30 p.m. in the Mako Residence Hall Multipurpose Room. 

Nominations for the annual Student Life Achievement Awards  

Students, staff and faculty can now submit nominations for NSU’s annual Student Life Achievement Awards, known commonly to NSU students as the STUEY’s. This year will mark the 24th anniversary of when the STUEY’s first started. Applications will be open from now until Jan. 10. Every current student, staff and faculty member is eligible for a nomination for at least one of several categories, including Student of the Year, Undergraduate Organization of the Year, Professor of the Year and more. 

NSU provides free shuttles to FLL airport for holiday season 

NSU will be providing free shuttles to and from the Fort Lauderdale International Airport during the holiday season for students who are traveling home for the holidays. In addition to providing shuttling services for Thanksgiving break, the shuttles will runon Dec. 10 and Dec. 11 to bring students from The Commons Circle to the airport at 7 a.m., 8 a.m., 9 a.m., 2 p.m., 3p.m. and 4 p.m. to leave for winter break. The shuttle will pick up students who are returning from winter break  from the airport on Jan. 1 and Jan 2. from noon to 6 p.m. on each of those days.
