A pug named Noodle has taken the internet by storm after his owner posts daily videos of him on TikTok either “having bones” or “not having bones.” Many fans of Noodle the pug take these daily videos as a forecast of what their day will be like.
“I think it’s kid-ish, and not fully clear to everybody cause not everybody is on no-bones Tik Tok,” said Rebecca Fazio, sophomore art and design major.
“I think it’s great! I think it provides something to look forward to every single day to know that it’s a bones-day or a no-bones day, and that just gives me like a guide on how I should apply myself throughout the day. If it’s a bones day, I’ll try to be active. If it’s a no bones day, then I’ll be a passive type of person,” said Anthony Orengo, freshman public health major.
“I feel that is a very accurate assessment of how days go. So, when there’s a no-bones day, it definitely is a no-bones day all around and when it’s a bones day, I have a good day, so that’s how I feel about it,” said Jamaya Billings, junior elementary education major.
“If I’m going to be honest, I think that the trend is cute but not very realistic. I have had bad days on bones day and great days on no bone’s day. Don’t get me wrong, the pug is cute but I’m a no go for believing the trend actually dictates how the day will go,” said Sean Stanton, freshman secondary English education major.
“I personally love the bones day trend. It’s really lighthearted and positive which often a lot of trends on TikTok aren’t. It just reminds me that every day is different and a new beginning. It keeps you excited and eager because you never know when you’re going to get a bones day! No bones days remind you to take care of yourself and that it’s okay to relax every once in a while,” said Erin Keeley, senior marine biology major.
