The 24th annual Student Life Achievement Awards, or STUEYs, honored notable students, staff and faculty on April 12. The ceremony took place in the Rose and Alfred Miniaci Performing Arts Center and recognized many but just a few went home with a STUEY.
Although 15 were nominated for Overall Student of the Year for 2022, the winner was Jeremy Espuet of the College of Psychology. Inviting his girlfriend and parents on to the stage, he gave a brief but heartfelt speech alongside President George Hanbury.
“If I were to invite everyone on stage tonight that has helped me on my journey thus far we would probably have a fire hazard and go over the weight limit,” said Espuet.
Executive of the Year went to Ron Chenail of the Executive Office. Chenail won many laughs with the audience in his acceptance speech after some playful banter with his colleague on stage.
The Alumni of the Year for 2022 was Adam Scott Goldberg of Shepard Broad College of Law, who thanked those who helped him get to where he is now.

“Sorry HPD, Law, business. Psychology students are the best,” said Perez jokingly.
