What has been your experience with the Office of Student Financial Assistance? What do you think can be improved?
“I’ve had a pretty good experience with them. Usually, I get what I need to do done when I go to the One-Stop Shop. Sometimes, I feel like I don’t know what I need to do. I feel like I have to go and find out information for myself. I feel like maybe they can improve that by letting us know what we need to have by certain days because sometimes I feel like it’s not clear.”

“I haven’t had to deal much with them. With that being said, I did my bachelor’s here and they’re very helpful when you get on the phone. My biggest complaint would be the waiting time to speak to someone. It can be a while.”

“The financial aid office is pretty helpful, especially through email. I find it helpful that they respond to electronically because we’re not always available in person. When I do go to their office, I have to wait a while to see someone. Other than that, they’re pretty helpful since I’m not really that great with money.”

“I think financial aid can definitely be improved. I think there needs to be a little more customer orientation and the customer is the student. I think that some of the staff and financial aid advisers should be a little more proactive with making sure the student has the aid to successfully complete their time at NSU.”

“I think they need more staff. This is only my first semester here and my experience is pretty much good but I was just waiting a while to get an appointment with them because I got accepted late over the summer.”
