On March 27, the 23rd annual 9 Mile Music Festival was held at the Virginia Key Beach Park in Miami, Florida.
This year’s event hosted thousands and combined music, food and service. More than 25 vendors sold food and trinkets at the event.
Attendees were required to bring four cans of food for entry, which were donated to local homeless shelters throughout Miami.
The festival started in 1993 by Cedella Marley Booker in memory of her son, Bob Marley.
Headlining this year’s festival were the Marley Brothers – Damien, Stephen, Julian and Skip – as well as Nas, Capelton, Konshens, Protojé, Kabaka Pyramid, K Camp, Shacia Marley and many more.
William Hall, who attended the festival, said, “This year was the best line up that they have had yet.”
Chanel Hall, also in attendance, said, “This festival is so beautiful, bringing Caribbean culture to Miami for a day with music, food and local vendors to help for a good cause.”
