Cross Country
NSU men’s and women’s cross country teams participated in the Florida Tech Invitational Sep. 10. The men’s team had two top 10 finishers including Christian Oppel placing seventh, clocking in at 26:08.10 in the 8K and Thomas Ingalls placing tenth with a finish time of 26:17.59. The women’s team recorded two personal bests in the 5k. Allison Porter finished 19:23.76 for a 10th place spot, and Janelle Shipotofsky finished 20:16.27 for a 20th place finish.
Men’s Soccer
The men’s soccer team suffered a loss on Sep. 14 against Florida Southern. The Sharks earned 13 corner kicks despite the 0-1 loss, and goal keeper Nico Rosiglioni had four saves during the game.
Women’s Soccer
NSU women’s soccer rallied to a 2-0 win against Florida Southern on Sep. 14. Both goals were scored by Nichole Poppe in the 23rd minute and 62nd minute, respectively. The Sharks have not allowed any goals in a home game this season and improved to a 5-1 record.
Women’s Volleyball
The NSU women’s volleyball team played in the CSU-Pueblo Thunderwolves Classic on Sep. 9-10 in Pueblo, Colo. The Sharks played a total of four games and ended the weekend 1-3. The team won their game against Adams State 3-1. However, the women recorded losses against Wayne State, 0-3, Western State Colorado, 2-3, and Texas A&M-Kingsville, 2-3. The Sharks improved to 5-3 for the season.
