“On main campus, they can by providing more equipment so people aren’t short on supplies like microscopes and other equipment as well like beakers and graduated cylinders. I think that they should also [adapt] the teaching methods to be more interactive with the students,” said Barbara Victores, sophomore marine biology major
“In the main campuses labs they should be more modernize because the equipment seems to be a lot older and antique in a way. Although it does all [serve its purpose] it’s not visually appealing. It doesn’t really feel like a fun learning environment, it feels like you’re forced to be there,” said Brandon Rodriguez, freshman biology major
“I do think we need to [understand the experimenting process] but I think we can do these experiments in a more tech-savvy fashion. For things like dissections and other experiments that way, it is more cost-effective. I think we need more simulations similar to virtual reality goggles that will provide students with an interactive and engaging view into what they’re studying,” said Daniel Karp, art and design major
“At the OC, there is always an awkward break between class and lab and there is only candy vending machines [provided there for purchase]. Thursdays I’m at the O.C from 8:30 to 10 p.m. so I have to leave and go to Publix to get food and come back.. If there was an option to get any sort of food there that would be very helpful,” said Adam Eurbin, junior marine biology major
“ At least for the OC, maybe making the Shark Shuttle more accessible and easier to use [to get to the OC from main campus] It is far away from main campus and it is hard to use if you have classes on main campus or any other things to do [on main campus],” said Katarina Lee, sophomore environmental science major
