For the first time in school history, NSU’s women’s basketball team advanced to the Elite Eight in the NCAA Division II National Championship tournament. The Sharks won the South Region Championship, hosted at NSU, on March 18, beating Delta State University 78-56. They’ll face the winner of the West Region Championship, Western Washington University, on March 26 in San Antonio, Texas, for a shot at playing in the semi-finals on March 27.
