In January of 2021, I started my identity design company Intrstellr, after consuming too much content during the 2020 lockdown about being a business owner in the design industry. I’m not the only one with a story like this. There are thousands, if not millions, of people who started small businesses while they were home […]

Why do we keep getting live action remakes?
When you think about animated films that have live action remakes, the first that come to mind are probably ones made by Walt Disney Studios. This entertainment company has been creating live action remakes of older animated films for decades, from “The Jungle Book” to “Cinderella,” but it’s not just Disney. A lot of animes and cartoons have live action remakes as well, one of which being “Cowboy Bebop” which premiered on Netflix in November […]

Gill Out @ Mako: Fintastic Tacos
Fintastic Tacos is Nova Southeastern University’s very own student-run taco shop located in Mako Hall. Their Instagram account, @Fintastic_Tacos, advertises that their food is fresh, convenient and authentic, so I made it my mission to find out if that was true. It also happened to be a Tuesday when I had a chance to go, which made it even better. Who doesn’t love Taco Tuesday? […]

Soundbite: “Altar” by Kehlani
Kehlani has been one of my favorite artists since 2014 with the release of her first mixtape, “Cloud 19.” She’s someone who continuously proves R&B is not dead with hit after hit. On Sept. 14, Kehlani released a trailer to announce their upcoming album, “Blue Water Road.” If that wasn’t exciting enough, the very next day their new song “Altar” came out with an accompanying music video. They popped up in a lot of features this year, so I was extremely excited […]
That Time I… Started an identity design agency
“What do you want to be when you grow up?” The infamous question everyone gets asked at least a million times in their lives. For most people, the answer to that question changes as they get older. It certainly changed a good number of times for me. The first answer I gave to that question […]
