Men’s Golf

The men’s golf team went to the Copperhead Championship on Oct. 16 and Oct. 17 where they finished third out of 15. Freshman Tomas Millet finished with a score of three and tied for 12th in the tournament.

Women’s Golf

The women’s golf team finished first out of 10 at the Saint Leo Women’s Invite. The invite took place on Oct. 16 and Oct. 17. Senior Michelle Ruiz finished second place after having a playoff against a Tampa player.

Women’s Rowing

The women’s rowing team raced at Head of Indian Creek in Miami, Florida on Oct. 15. The 4,000 meter race was head race style, meaning boats started one at a time, and the goal was to catch the boat ahead. The varsity boat brought home fourth place overall against Barry, Stetson and Miami with a finishing time of 14:59.

Women’s Soccer

The women’s soccer team brought home a win against Saint Leo. The game took place on Oct. 14, and the final score was 2-1. Sophomore Hannah Christophe and sophomore Emma Heikkila scored goals, each within two minutes of each other.

Men’s Soccer

The men’s soccer team traveled to Saint Leo on Oct. 14 for their game. The Sharks won 2-1. Junior Darwin Lom scored the winning goal when his penalty kick made it past Saint Leo’s goalie.

Men’s Swimming

NSU hosted the Shark Invite on Oct. 13 and Oct. 14. The men’s swimming team finished fourth out of eight. Senior Franco Lupoli, a top performer during the invite, won in the 1,000 free finishing in 9:23.09.

Women’s Swimming

The women’s swimming team took first place out of eight at the Shark Invite on Oct. 13 and Oct. 14 with a total of 780. Freshman Jenna Johns won both the 100 fly in 56.25 and the 100 back in 57.10.

Women’s Volleyball

The women’s volleyball team played the South Region Crossover tournament in Hoover, Alabama on Oct. 13 and Oct. 14. Unfortunately, the volleyball team lost each game in the tournament. Junior Denvyr Tyler-Palmer reached the 1,000 kill club, only the 11th in NSU history to do so.
