On April 20, from 8:30 p.m. – 4:30 a.m., participants will “cover Fort Lauderdale” with Kony paraphernalia—including flyers, posters, banners and bumper stickers.
Belina Collias is a second-year student in the Osteopathic Medicine program (OMS-II). She is originally from Burlington, Vt., a former Peace Corps Volunteer in Lesotho, Africa and founder of the non-profit organization The MOSA Project. She is currently president of NSU-COM’s International Medical Outreach Club. Her interests include international travel and volunteerism, social justice, human rights activism and public health.
Bermudez said, “As a Christian, I think it is important to show God’s love in our world, especially on a college campus. Sometimes people think of us just as a group who gets together for bible studies, but as Christians we have Christ’s love in us, and we portray that to the world, and we are to be a light in the darkness.”
