Diary of… A student with multiple sclerosis

Monica Herrera is a senior majoring in communication studies, dance and theatre. She is a member of the Nova Dance Society and appeared in “Ruthless: the Musical,” “Dress Code: Respond If You Please,” “Sure Thing,” “Gypsy: the Musical” and “Dead Man Walking.” She also does technical work in NSU productions and studied at the New World School of Arts and the STAR Academy of Performing Arts at Dr. Michael M. Krop Senior High School.

Diary of… A writer

Carrie Doussou, junior legal studies major, is an active leader on campus. She is the president of the Haitian Student Association as well as the treasurer for the Society of Astronomers and the Journal Club. Carrie also has a passion for writing. She is in the process of finishing a novel called “Elites” and she has competed in various poetry contests.

Diary of…a madman in law school!

Joshua Rasco joined NSU this fall as a first-year law student at the Shepard Broad Law Center. This native Floridian may have graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Humanities from Florida State University, but he is “a ‘Cane at heart.” Rasco has also been a drummer for 16 years, and plays in the band Thick Wet Fire. He hopes to practice intellectual property law when he graduates. His philosophy is “Life is short, laugh it up.”
