If you want to see why the entire sequestration idea is stupid, you would have to look no further than the anounced ending of tuition assistance to active members of the U.S military enrolled in colleges this fiscal year.
NSU hosts South Regional
On March 10, the National Collegiate Athletic Association announced that NSU would host the South Region of the 2013 NCAA Division II Women’s Basketball Championship tournament, March 15 to 18. Eight teams played in seven games at the Arena at the Don Taft University Center.
NSU’s 10th annual CommunityFest approaches
NSU’s 10th annual CommunityFest, a carnival-like festival aimed at linking NSU students with community members and raising school spirit, will take place on Feb. 9 from noon to 4 p.m. at Gold Circle Lake on NSU’s main campus.

NSU Student Engagement Survey
Starting Oct. 1, the annual “I Believe in NSU” survey will be available.
The purpose of the survey is for the administration to get a better understanding of the NSU student’s overall experience. The responses are used to improve the quality of education and services provided by the university.
The Not So Urly Morning Show
Starting Oct. 1, NSU’s Radio X will have its own morning talk show, airing Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
