On June 21, Maziar Bahari was arrested by Iranian intelligence officers on six charges, primarily suspicion of being a spy for the CIA, Israel’s Mossad, Britain’s MI6, and Newsweek. He was interrogated, tortured and put in solitary confinement, within a 6-by-12-foot prison cell, for 118 days, 12 hours and 54 minutes.

America’s prisons: They want you

It is really despicable what U.S. prisons have become. Prisons, which I will remind you, are built with federal money — your money — are not interested in saving tax payers anything. Instead, they are more interested in funneling the cash right into your pockets. Why would prisons want to rehabilitate repeat offenders? They are repeat business.
