Divisional round one of best of all-time
In one of the best Divisional rounds in NFL history, two of the greatest quarterbacks of all-time were eliminated while new quarterbacks get their chance to shine. Each of the four games were decided by a last second play, as the 49ers, Bengals and Rams all kicking game-winning field goals as time expired. The Bengals are travelling to Missouri to take on the Chiefs, and the 49ers are traveling to Los Angeles to play the Rams for the third time this season. These two games will be tough knowing that a trip to the Super Bowl is on the line.
Watford’s Ranieri fired after just three months
After a horrid start that included ten losses in just thirteen matches, Watford has announced the dismissal of manager Claudio Ranieri. Watford has just 14 points in 20 matches, also possessing a –17 goal differential. The club sits nineteenth in the Premier League table, with relegation being a realistic possibility. Ranieri, the manager of the miracle 2015-2016 Premier League champion Leicester City, hasn’t had much success in recent years. The 70-year-old manager is yet to announce if he wishes to retire, but if he were to continue managing teams, he would be managing the twenty-third different team in his career.
Eriksen reportedly agrees to contract with Brentford
Just seven months after a terrifying scene at the Euro 2020, Christian Eriksen is nearing his way back into professional football. Eriksen suffered cardiac arrest on the field, and without the proper equipment and awareness of his teammates, was just seconds away from passing away. Now, with a cardioverter-defibrillator in his heart, Eriksen has agreed to a six-month deal with Premier League club Brentford. After all he has been through, a return to the game is amazing for the Danish midfielder.
