Tips and tricks for the best theme park experience

If you visit Florida, it feels like a tradition to visit the theme parks. Whether it be Disney World, Universal Studios or another of Florida’s theme parks, everyone probably wants to go to the parks at some point, but the question everyone asks themselves is: When is the best time to go, both financially and because of the weather? If you are one of those people that need more advice about the best time to see Mickey, here are a few tips and tricks for the best times to vacation in Florida.

You should plan well ahead of time and try to avoid going during spring break, unless you want to be stuck in the parks with a bunch of strange teenagers and their friends. Spring break season starts from the beginning of March to the middle of April. If you are looking for a time that has better weather, on the other hand, the months of March-July would be the best time for you. As someone who is always cold but hates sweating, I like going during the colder months because I can layer up clothes and if I feel hot, I can take a sweater off without having to worry about melting to death.

The best way to save money and get the best experience possible would be to buy all the tickets extremely early. Another helpful tip would be to buy the lowest-tier ticket and upgrade later. If you purchase your tickets directly through Universal Studios or Disney, you can upgrade your tickets at guest services at any point during your trip.

My biggest tip for going to the theme parks in Florida is to make friends with someone who is a Florida resident because they get the best discounts for the parks. Another tip would be to check the discount calendar for the specific theme park that you are trying to go to.

Honestly, I don’t mind paying more money if the experience is worth it; it’s something that you cannot put a price on. I personally love going to theme parks during Halloween and Christmas because it is more festive, making the entire experience feel like I am at my home away from home.

On my last vacation to Universal Studios in early April, my family and I got to enjoy both Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Island of Adventure. While there was a good amount of people, it wasn’t enough for the lines to be ridiculously long, and we got to ride all the rides that we wanted at least once.
