Now that summer is here, I plan to fill my days with plenty of productive and soul-replenishing activities. Listening to music is definitely one. Below are some songs that seem to repeatedly make their way back into my queue.
1. (Don’t Fear) the Reaper – Blue Oyster Cult
Following suit with the current state of the world, this song allows me to romanticize “the end” along with plenty of cowbells.
2. 3 Nights – Dominic Fike
Even though we are in quarantine, it’s still summertime. I could listen to this song on repeat all day and not get tired of it.
3. Lost – Frank Ocean
This groovy, lo-fi tune has me daydreaming poolside, or in my case, inflatable poolside.
4. I’m Not Having Any Fun – Bad Suns
The newest single from one of my favorite bands, this song’s upbeat melody contradicts the title, which creates a funky tune.
5. Mango – Peach Tree Rascals
I have been spending a lot of time reading and enjoying the outdoors sitting under the mango tree in my backyard. This song reminds me of spending time with my friends.
6. Down Under – Men at Work
This song really makes me feel like I am sunbathing on a beach in Australia. Anyone else craving a vegemite sandwich?
