Parkland shooter pleads guilty to 34 charges

The Parkland shooter, Nikolas Cruz, pleaded guilty to all 34 charges against him in front of a circuit court judge. Judge Elizabeth Scherer thoroughly explained the charges and potential punishments to the shooter who proceeded to give a shaky apology to the families of the victims.   The Parkland shooting took place on Valentine’s Day 2018. Seventeen people were killed, and it remains one of the deadliest school shootings in U.S. […]

In a 2004 conference, well-known journalist and anchor Gwen Ifill uttered the term that has now permeated the public conscience.   “I call it the Missing White Woman Syndrome. This has vastly changed the way movies are advertised and how they are consumed. However, now there is a competition to stream.   […]

How Hispanics influence South Florida

Florida is one of the many states in the U.S. whose name is Spanish in origin. “La Florida” which can be translated to mean “the flowering” references the beautiful flowers that grow and blossom here. Florida’s name is not the only mark that Hispanic people have left on the state, especially South Florida.   In his article titled […]

Gen. Milly made the right call

Gen. Milly was called into congress to testify on the Biden administration’s handling of the Afghanistan conflict. There was, however, a second reason for the testimony–reports that Milly had undermined Trump by calling China’s generals without advising him.   Generals from other countries routinely communicate with each other, especially countries that are not at war nor have any militaristic conflicts such as the U.S. […]
