Physician assistant program receives 100% pass rate
For the first time, the 2012 Physician Assistant Program‘s graduatting class at NSU’s student educational center in Orlando received a 100 percent passing rate on the Physician Assistant National Certification Exam (PANCE).
NSU brings children Christmas in a box
To bring some holiday cheer to less fortunate children, on Nov. 13, Ablaze, an NSU Christian organization, in cooperation with Samaritan’s Purse, a global Christian non-profit organization, hosted their second annual “Operation Christmas Child” packaging party.

“Sponsor a Can” gathers 100+
The Pre-Health Council hosted “Sponsor a Can” food drive from Oct. 22 to Nov. 2 and donated all collected goods to the Pantry of Broward Inc., a charity organization that supports senior citizens’ needs.

NSU will recognize the contributions of its community’s veterans, servicemen, servicewomen, and their families during the annual “NSU Salute to Veterans and Service Members” event Nov. 19 at 5 p.m., in the Rose and Alfred Miniaci Performing Arts Center.
America re-elects Obama
Obama had a second victory on election night. He beat pop star Justin Bieber’s Twitter record for the most re-tweeted message of all time. The tweet — which read, “This happened because of you. Thank you.” — included a picture of Obama and the first lady hugging, and was retweeted 298,318 times in 30 minutes.
Sorority brings the issue of suicide to light with “Out of the Darkness” walk
NSU and the Lambda Theta Alpha Latin Sorority (LTA) will host the “Out of the Darkness Suicide Prevention Community Walk” Nov. 18 at 9 a.m, to benefit the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP).
