One of my favorite times of the year is winter. The refreshing pause from the constant Florida heat, and the nice break from school is a winning combination that I welcome every year. One thing that that comes with winter that most Floridians find unwelcoming is the arrival of the snowbirds.
According to a study completed by environmentalists from Mather Economics, investing nearly $12 billion into the Everglades will bring a $46 billion return and nearly 400,000 jobs over the next 50 years.
How many of you have been fired or laid off in the past two years? The economy has been in the toilet for more than two years. The more jobs that are lost, the more drops into the economic bowl.
