JuiceBlendz CEO visits NSU
On April 9, Adam Ogden, the founder and CEO of JuiceBlendz, a national smoothie and juice bar franchise based in South Florida, visited NSU to launch his College Road Tour and speak at the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship.
A state-of-the-art JuiceBlendz Mobile Blending Unit was parked outside of the Don Taft University Center providing students with free samples of JuiceBlendz smoothies. Students were also able to pick up free T-shirts after following JuiceBlendz on Twitter and liking them on Facebook.
Leaders Party wins SGA elections
On April 13, the winner of the 2012-2013 SGA elections was announced. Between the two parties that ran, Fresh Perspective and The Leaders Party, the Leaders Party won by 54 percent in student votes. More than 200 students and faculty attended the event held in the Flight Deck.

Fulbright Scholar Program begins selection
The scholarship program, founded in 1946 by U.S. Senator William Fulbright, is a competitive, merit-based grant program which offers teaching and/or research opportunities to college or university faculty, and administrators, as well as artists, journalists, lawyers and independent scholars. The application deadline for the 2013-14 awards of The Fulbright Scholar Program is Aug. 1.
Digressions literary magazine launches tomorrow
On April 11, the launch of Digressions, NSU’s student-run literary magazine, will take place on the second floor of the Alvin Sherman Library from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. This will be the ninth edition of the magazine, and with 56 pages of content, it will be the largest publication.
