Hollywood is only nine miles away, located between Ft. Lauderdale and Miami, and walking is a great way to clear your head after a busy day at school. The beach town has easy ocean access and features the famous Hollywood Beach Broadwalk. The boardwalk stretches out two and half miles and is home to many great restaurants, inns and hotels. C.B Smith Park in Pembroke Pines has great scenic views and is the perfect place to learn water skiing and wakeboarding. The Broward Ski & Wakeboard School offers lessons and rides to people of all ages. The instructor,  Mike Tolzmann, is a veteran pro who currently holds two water skiing world records. It’s open weekday afternoons and all day during the weekends. You can bring your own equipment, or if you don’t have any, the school can provide it for you.
