Women’s basketball makes NSU history
For the first time in school history, NSU’s women’s basketball team advanced to the Elite Eight in the NCAA Division II National Championship tournament, after winning the South Region Championship, hosted at NSU, on March 18.
NSU hosts South Regional
On March 10, the National Collegiate Athletic Association announced that NSU would host the South Region of the 2013 NCAA Division II Women’s Basketball Championship tournament, March 15 to 18. Eight teams played in seven games at the Arena at the Don Taft University Center.
Men’s basketball looking forward to SSC tournament
The men’s basketball team will play on the road on Feb. 29 for the first round of the SSC tournament. The team currently stands with a record of 11-13 and eight of those losses happened on the road.
Women’s basketball playing strong defense
Through 19 games, the NSU women’s basketball team stands with a record of 11-8. With the second-best scoring defense in the conference, the team still looks to improve on both ends of the floor.

Men’s basketball midseason recap
Through the first 18 games of the season, the men’s basketball team stands with a record of (9-9). The team currently leads the conference in field goal percentage, and they have the best rebounding margin in the conference as well.
NSU athletics volunteers at Special Olympics basketball tournament
On Jan. 14, nearly 500 athletes from Special Olympics participated in the County Basketball Tournament held at the Don Taft University Center. Seven teams from Broward County qualified for the state competition but all the athletes were proud of their accomplishments.
My words to NSU women’s basketball 2nd edition
