Tyler Robert Conti is a freshman English and history major. His hobbies include water polo, reading, bicycle riding, swimming and running. He is an editor for Digressions, the student-run literary magazine. Although he is 6’4’’ he says he is “very bad at basketball.” His philosophy on life is, “Never forget who or where you are locally, nationally, internationally or universally.”

Diary of…A cancer survivor

Lesly Viera is a freshman biology major and the president and founder of Locks for Cause, an NSU organization, which assists in getting hair donations for wigs that are donated to children suffering from hair loss caused by disease.. She is the local project leader for Rotaract and teaches belly dancing at Gigi’s Academy. Her favorite place is the ocean and her favorite quote is, “Cancer is a word not a sentence.”

Devan Trammel-Fisher is a first-year student in the College of Osteopathic Medicine. He said that before medical school his hobbies included reading, music, movies and all kinds of exercise. Now that he has less time, he brews beer and exercises. His favorite quote is “He was a wise man who invented beer,” by Plato.

Henry R. Woodman is a second-year master of business administration in entrepreneurship student. His interests include golf, movies and fine wine. He also enjoys traveling, conducting his business, being with his family, and practicing a healthy lifestyle. He is a member of the Strategic Forum Student group. His favorite quote is “Every day I get up and look through the Forbes list of the richest people in America. If I’m not there, I go to work.”

Rosemonde Menard-Webb is a third-year doctoral student of marriage and family therapy in the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences. She enjoys going on road trips, going to the movies, watching the sunrise and sunset at the beach, playing board games with her children and listening to music. Her philosophy on life is to acknowledge and honor the existence of others in any way possible, with a smile, a hug or words of encouragement that generate hope. She is a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and has her own consulting practice called Planting Seeds of Life.

Rina Diep is a junior psychology and business administration major with a minor in human resource management. She is a member of Delta Phi Epsilon and Ablaze. Diep enjoys traveling and experiencing new things. She loves listening to smooth jazz and hip-hop and visiting beaches, art galleries and amusement parks. Her favorite quote is by Antoine de Saint-Exupery: “What saves a man is to take a step. Then another step. It is always the same step, but you have to take it.”

Annette Lorraine Taylor-Spence is a junior communication studies major with a concentration in speech communication. She is a member of Delta Epsilon Iota, and her interests include writing and event planning. She also enjoys drama and writes Biblical dramas produced at her church. Her philosophy in life is, “Find a need and meet it; find a hurt and heal it.”

Tilly Maame Afua Owusuwaa is a junior business administration major. Her interests include history and reading about different cultures and their similarities.
